The City of Stockton is now accepting sealed bids for hay mowing rights on select city-owned properties! 🚜🌱
This is a great opportunity for qualified individuals or entities to mow, bale, and remove hay from designated locations within the city.

- Issue Date: Friday, May 15, 2026
- Bid Due: Friday, June 5, 2026 (late submissions will not be accepted)
- Bid Opening: Monday, June 8, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.

STREET PAVING BID SOLICITATION
The City of Stockton is soliciting bids for asphalting City streets. Bid specs can be picked up at City Hall, 1424 South St or contact Vanessa Harper at 417-276-5210 for an electronic copy. Sealed bids should be submitted to City Hall, PO Box 590, Stockton, MO 65785, or delivered in person to City Hall Mon-Fri 8-4. Please mark envelope “Street Repair Spring 2026”. Deadline will be Friday, June 19, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. All bids will be presented to the City Council for consideration on Monday June 22, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. during the regular session meeting at City Hall at 1424 South Street, Stockton, Missouri 65785. * The City of Stockton reserves the right to refuse or reject any or all bids.

The City of Stockton will be holding our City Wide Cleanup on Friday, May 22. This is a great opportunity to dispose of unwanted items and help keep our community clean and beautiful! 🌼
🗓 When: Friday, May 22
📍 Where: Place items at the curb on your regular trash day
✅ ACCEPTABLE ITEMS (limits apply):
✔️ Furniture (indoor/outdoor) – limit 1
✔️ Toilet or sink – limit 1 (no cast iron)
✔️ Mattress/bed – limit 1
✔️ Rugs (no large carpet or padding)
✔️ Televisions and monitors
✔️ Large children’s toys
✔️ Grills (no propane tanks) – limit 1
✔️ Up to 12 additional bags or boxes
🚫 NOT ACCEPTED ITEMS:
❌ No construction/large remodel debris
❌ Explosives
❌ Hazardous waste
❌ Highly flammable substances
❌ Infectious waste
❌ Batteries
❌ Liquids or free-flowing liquids

- All small items must be bagged or boxed
- Items must not exceed 50 lbs
- No loose debris will be collected
- Crews cannot access personal property—everything must be at the curb
