Disconnect Sump Pumps & Down spouts

Pursuant to Section 710.130: No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any stormwater, surface water, ground water, roof runoff, subsurface drainage, including interior and exterior foundation drains.

Storm Shelters:  Per City's Emergency Management as of 3-13-2025 storm shelters available when sirens are sounded are at the following locations:

1. Basement doors at Court House

2. Regular doors at jail parking garage.

Water bills are due upon receipt or before the 15th of each month to avoid a penalty.

2026 Election Filing Dates:

FILING NOTICE FOR THE CITY OF STOCKTON GENERAL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of the City of Stockton, Missouri, that a general election will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, beginning at 6:00 a.m. and closing at 7:00 p.m.

Those wishing to become a candidate may file at City Hall at 1424 South Street, Stockton, beginning on December 9, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. through December 30, 2025, until 5:00 p.m.

The elected positions to be filled are for one Northward alderperson position and one Southward alderperson position and one Mayor of Stockton.

To be eligible to qualify for the office of alderperson, the candidate must be twenty-one (21) years of age. To be eligible to qualify for the office of Mayor, the candidate must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age.

Each person desiring to be a candidate for election to a municipal office is reminded that Missouri law provides:

  • Must be a citizen of the United States.
  • A registered voter.
  • A resident of the City of at least one year prior to the time of filing, election and appointment for said office, and living in the ward to which filling.
  • Nor in arrears of municipal taxes or fees.
  • No person shall qualify as a candidate for elective public office in the state of Missouri who has been convicted of or found guilty of or pled guilty to a felony or misdemeanor under the federal laws of the United States of America.
